D-Dubs People

DWW Massey Hall
Hey Internet! So about two weeks ago we went to see Down With Webster at Massey Hall. If anyone was wondering who Down With Webster are, they are a 7-piece rock/rap band from Toronto, Ontario consisting of Andrew “Marty” Martino on drums, Tyler Armes on bass and keys, Patrick “Pat” Gillett on guitar, Cameron “Cam” Hunter MC, Martin "Bucky" Seja MC, Dave “Diggy” Ferris DJ, and Kyle “Kap Ten” Fairlie Hype Man. The concert was amazing although I could have done with out all the screaming kids. 2AM Club, Sweet Thing and the Envy opened for them.

This was the third time that we have seen Sweet Thing live and I  must say they are growing on me. They had great energy and their guitarist Alex Winter rocked a poncho.

2AM Club had a great set, very high energy and the two vocalists was quite interesting to see.
The Envy was very energetic as well, definitely more of a rock band than the others and got a lot of people on their feet.

DWW was as always awesome to see live, the energy brought by the band was greatly received by the crowd. Bucky always looks like he is having the time of his life onstage. Marty's drum solo was impeccable, when he lost his drum sticks and just used his shoe was one of the best moments of the night (we were a little disappointed that he did not wear his booty shorts and tube socks though). The orchestra as really neat, loved the fact that Tyler's dad was conducting them and Tyler on the piano was very unexpected. Pat may come across as awkward and shy in interviews but he indubitable come into his own onstage. Diggy went beast mode on the turntable. Cam Rocked G.T.F.O. Kap ran around and hyped everyone up as usual, he also does a mean running man. They played many old favourites and quite a few new tunes, which were sounding great can't wait for the album to be released.
